Dag vrienden van de poëzie
Vandaag gaan we het hebben over Boeken en E-books, of beter gezegd welke van de twee hebben Vlamingen liever ?
Zo te zien bestaat er iets zoals een boekbarometer ( Who knew ,right ?) en die beweert dat 84% liever een gedrukt boek leest dan een E-book. Maar dit is niet exact want het is alleen op 4000 Vlamingen getest.
Waarschijnlijk is het omdat E-books (nog) te duur zijn voor dagelijks gebruik.
Het beweert ook dat 3/4 van de twaalf- tot achttienjarigen gedrukte boeken verkiest boven E-books, ze zijn ook degene die het minst boeken lezen van alle categorieën.
De artikel waar deze blog overgaat zegt in andere woorden "Hoe ouder de leeftijdscategorie , hoe meer je boeken leest ( dit is een hypothese, dit geldt niet voor elke persoon) en hoe meer ervan je overtuigd bent dat de 12-18 jarigen alleen maar stripboeken lezen ( Ook een hypothese en dus geldt niet voor elke persoon)."
Als je veel boeken leest, is dat volgens mij toch efficiënter en milieuvriendelijker dat je toch beter een E-book koopt want na een tijd wordt het kopen van gedrukte boeken duurder dan een E-book kopen en gratis boeken van het internet erop zetten , nog een pluspunt is dat de een E-book minder plaats nodig heeft en worden boekenkasten onnodig. In de toekomst gaan de E-books veel meer geheugenplaats hebben en kunnen ze tot miljoenen boeken bijhouden ( en misschien nog meer dan gewoonweg boeken). Minpunt is als je per ongeluk je E-book laat vallen en dan er iets mee gebeurd dat je dan mooi zonder boeken zit. Maar die kans is klein en waarschijnlijk heb je zo een beschermende omhulsel rond je E-book om zo gevallen te voorkomen.
E-books zijn ook beter voor het milieu, dan moet je niet honderdduizend bomen omver hakken om maar enkele miljoenen boeken te maken voor een populatie van 7 miljard mensen op aarde waarvan 75+-% van de bevolking boeken leest.
Dus zover de modernisering nog bezig is zal je nog een paar jaar moeten wachten voordat de meerderheid van de bevolking simpele dingen zoals boeken gaan vervangen met hun elektronische versie. Toch zullen er gewone boeken blijven bestaan want niet iedereen kan een E-book betalen , in andere woorden: de derdewereldlanden zullen het moeilijk hebben als ze ooit van gewone boeken naar E-books moeten overstappen. Een heel groot deel leeft in armoede en zal zoiets niet kunnen betalen."
Verder kan ik niet veel meer vertellen over zo'n minuscuul onderwerp en ga ik nu moeten stoppen want mijn inspiratie is op, ik wens jullie nog een fijne dag beste lezers. And remember "when in doubt , google it"

Infamous Grammatical and spelling errors
Well hello there , I'm going to tell you about a few grammatical and spelling errors and misuses that are frequently made.
They're also kind of my pet peeves , a pet peeve is as my dictionary states :
"A pet peeve is a minor annoyance that an individual identifies as particularly annoying to him or her, to a greater degree than others may find it."
-The more you know , I shall include an explanation for a rather beneficial word in every one of my blog posts.-
The most Infamous:
Your: is a possesive , meaning that you own something. ex.:"Your stupidity knows no bounds."
You're is a contraction of you are. ex.: "You're a moron."
Youre: does not exist and is therefore not a real word.
There/their:
There: refers to a place or idea. ex.:"Look over there!"
Their:is a possesive ex.:"It was their idea"
They're: is a contraction of they are. ex.: "They're eating all the cookies"
Theyre: does not exist and is therefore not a real word.
It's/Its:
It's: is a contraction of it is. ex.:"It's confusing when people forget to use an apostrophe."
Its: is a possesive. ex.: "He washed his dog , its fur is even softer now."
Then/Than:
Then: is used for time. ex.:"We will eat and then we will go mosh"
Than: is used for comparison. ex.: "My milkshake is better than yours"
Accept/Except:
Accept: to receive/acquire. ex.:"I will make him an offer he will accept"
Except: excluding., ex.:"They're all Belgian , except Arty , he's russian"
Barbecue: misspelled as "barbeque" : Mostly because of the abbreviation "bbq".
A lot/A while :misspelled as "alot/ awhile" : mostly because of common use and peer pressure.
Accidentally: misspelled as "accidently" : mostly because you write words how you hear them.
Exercise: misspelled as "excercise" : mostly because you remember there was a "c" somewhere in the word.
Misspell: misspelled as "mispel": mostly because when you have a double s , you're more likely to use one" (might I add : "Oh the irony")
No one: misspelled as "noone": mostly because of common use and the other word "none" ironically meaning no one.
Refrigerator: misspelled as "refridgerator" mostly because of the abbreviation "fridge"
Etc.
There are more words I could put in here but i have to stop before i'm going to fall in a frustration induced coma.
